Darrell Pittard

Darrell D. Pittard has held several executive management positions in his 35 years working in the banking industry. After serving as CEO of several banks in Georgia, Mr. Pittard founded Premier Bancshares in 1993. This bank was purchased by BB&T in 2000. As Chairman and CEO of Magnetbank he is assisting in the formation of the bank in Salt Lake City, Utah.

He is a business graduate of Tennessee Tech ('70) and serves on the College of Business Board of Trustees. He is a past vice president of his sophomore class and student body senator (1967-69). He is also a Distinguished Military Graduate, Tennessee Tech 1970. He received his MBA in Real Estate from Georgia State, 1974.

Mr. Pittard received the Business Executive of the Year, 1998-99, selected by the Georgia Securities Association, awarded to CEOs of publicly traded companies. Currently, Mr. Pittard serves on the Board of Directors for BB&T (Georgia) and Cotton States Insurance Companies.

Married to Sandy Pittard, he has three children and five grandchildren.
