Tom Oreck is the President and CEO of the Oreck Corporation, a leading manufacturer of vacuum cleaners and other home appliances made in America and sold worldwide. The Oreck Corporation recently expanded their manufacturing facility to Cookeville .

Mr. Oreck, born in New York City July 1951, is a graduate of Lawrence University and the owner/president management program of the Harvard Business School . He has been in the appliance and consumer products industry for over 30 years.

Mr. Oreck serves on the Board of Directors of Alcas/Cutco Corporation and is Vice Chair of the Business Council of New Orleans and the River Region. He also serves on the Board of Trustees of Isidore Newman School, and Make-A-Wish Foundation.

Mr. Oreck, a former competition soaring pilot and aerobatic pilot has been flying for 30 years. He is currently active as a volunteer pilot for Angel Flights. Mr. Oreck is a pilot with over 2000 hours total time. He currently flies a Pilatus PC12 and is a commercial glider pilot.

Tom Oreck lives in New Orleans with his wife, Toni, and three children. His oldest daughter is a doctor, also residing in New Orleans .
