On April 14, 2004 TTU DMBA student Aaron Anderson met Marty Dickens in his Nashville office to discuss leadership in times of industry and corporate cultural change. In the following video vignettes, Mr. Dickens provides the industry and regulatory background that has profoundly affected BellSouth's business and corporate culture since the company was divested from the AT&T "Ma Bell" system in 1984. He describes the impact of the 1996 Telecommunications Act, recent technological and service advancements, and how BellSouth's leaders and managers have dealt with the resulting business and cultural changes.
