1807  (Antebellum Period) 

• Hickman County is created by the Tennessee General Assembly.

• Bedford County was created from Indian lands.  

1809  (Antebellum Period) 

• Humphreys County is created from lands of Stewart County.

1818 (Antebellum Period)

• Isham Harris was born near Tullahoma.  He was later governor of Tennessee from 1857 to 1862.  (Harris's Governor Paper, pdf file)

• Mule Day originates in Columbia, Tennessee.  

1871 (Civil War and Reconstruction Period) 

• Moore County is created by an act of the Tennessee Legislature.

   1994 (World War II through Cold War Period)

• RC and Moon Pie Festival Begins in Bell Buckle, Tennessee

Common Era

• The Cumberlands Craft Trail features a tour of craft studios throughout the hills and valleys of Middle Tennessee.  Artists in Manchester, Tullahoma, Normandy, Wartrace, Bell Buckle and Beech Grove can be found along the trail and bring the Duck River watershed into the fold.
