This section provides answers to some of our most common questions and issues.


Log In & Basics

Q: I am unable to log in to iLearn as well as other services, including Email. How do I log in?
A: If you are unable to log in to multiple services, including iLearn, your account password may have expired and/or need to be reset. Visit the Self Service Password Portal or call the myTECH Helpdesk at 931-372-3975.
Q: When I log in to iLearn, I do not see any of my courses. Where are my courses?
A: Ensure that you have taken the iLearn Training workshop before accessing your courses. If you have not taken the training, your courses will be unavaliable in iLearn. Sign up for an iLearn Training workshop.
Q: When I log in to iLearn, I do not see one or more of my courses. Where are the missing courses?
A: Contact your department secretary to ensure that the missing courses have been set as iLearn enabled in Banner.
Q: I am unable to log in to iLearn, but I can access other services, including Email. How do I log in?
A: There may be an issue with your account in iLearn. Please contact us for more assistance.

Course Materials

Q: I created a quiz that students have taken, but some or all of the students' quiz grades are not in the gradebook. How can I transfer the grades to the gradebook?
A: This is usually caused by not having the Allow attempt to be set as graded and Allow automatic export to grades options checked in the quiz's Assessment tab. This may also happen if a grade item was not selected to be associated with the quiz. If students have already taken the quiz, you can manually transfer the grades by visiting the quiz's Grade page and setting all quiz attempts as Published, then saving the page. Q: I want to give my students some bonus credit on their overall grade. How can I add a bonus item to my gradebook?
A: When you create a grade item, check the Bonus box to set the grade item as a bonus only item. Points added to the item will only increase the final grade. If the item is in a category, the bonus credit will be limited to the parent category unless Can Exceed is checked in the category settings. View more information on Bonus Credit.

Course Management

Q: I have some content, such as a gradebook structure or quiz questions, in an older or seperate course, and I would like to use this content in another course. How can I easily copy my content?
A: Use the Import/Export/Copy Components tool in your Course Admin page. Here, you can choose the course components you would like to copy, and move them by exporting to a zip file, importing from a zip file, or direcly copying them from another course.
