I have only been with Exel for a short time. I am on my third month, so my early observations are similar to when I went through the interview process. Exel is a good company that wants to become great. A lot of good, well-intentioned approaches [are] in place. They just need somebody to get their arms around that and put it all under one umbrella. It’s akin, I think, to “herding a herd of cats,” but everyone wants to get better. Senior management obviously is in a position that says we are going to make significant differences in the way we operate, do more standardization on a global basis. I think you will see Exel, as an organization, emerge as one of the recognized quality leaders probably within the next couple of years. [This is] simply because of the eagerness of the organization to improve, and now having a “new sheriff in town” [who] is going to marshal those resources to make it better.
