Dr. Gretta Stanger
Director of the Women's Center and Associate Professor of Sociology
Dr. Stanger received her B.A.and M.A. from the University of Mississippi. In 1986, she earned her Ph.D. in Sociology from the University of Tennessee. She has been the director of the Women's Center since 1993 when it first opened and oversees its daily operations. She enjoys teaching "Sociology of the Family" and "Gender and Society". One of her most interesting years was the one she spent in Swansea, Wales on the Fulbright Faculty Exchange Program.
Diana Lalani
Secretary
Diana earned her B.A. in Liberal Studies at Florida International University in Miami. Over the years she has managed bookstores, worked on behalf of women's rights, and maintained a partnership in an organic fruit tree nursery. Diana has led Aqua dance classes at the TTU Fitness Center since 2004 and joined the Women's Center as its full-time presence in 2007. She is committed to the advancement of opportunities for women and enjoys serving the TTU community.
Student Workers : We appreciate the efforts of the center's student workers who assist with programming, displays, the staffing of information tables, and the writing and editing of Attune, our newsletter. Currently, we are fortunate to have Tara Bates, Amanda Cannarozzi, Rachel Dunn, and Danielle Poore as part of our team.
