Vice President for Extended Programs and
Regional Development
Dr. Susan Elkins
The Vice President for Extended Programs and Regional Development
administers the University's outreach and extension programs that
include distance learning, off-campus programs, special courses
and events, public service initiatives, grants and special projects,
and regional development activities. Dr. Elkins is charged with
ensuring success of several key elements of the TTU Strategic Plan,
including improved access, P-16/ Regional Development, Community
College relations, and expanded extended education presence, liaison
with the Regents Online Degree Program office, and expanded community
relations in the Upper Cumberland area of our state. The
position also works closely with non-traditional students in the
University and throughout the region.
Dr. Elkins also serves as Dean of the School of Interdisciplinary
Studies and is an associate professor in the College of Education.
