| I. | Change the Course Numbers |
| The course number should be changed when the credit hours changes, when this is a major change in the content or a major change in the title. | |
| II. | Guidelines for Curriculum Development |

General education – 40-50 hours |
|
| Major Field Core – 30 + hours | |
| Concentration – 15 to 25 hours | |
|
Option - less than concentration |
|

TBR Approval |
| If a curriculum requirement has a change of at least 18 hours, then this equates to a substantive curriculum modification and requires TBR approval. | |
| IV. | Academic Program Approvals |
| All academic requirements that require TBR approval are outlined in the A-0l0 Policies for Academic Program Approvals located on the TTU web site at www2.tntech.edu/planning/ |
