Information Only - Non-substantive Change of Catalog Statement from the Department of Basic Business
In a memorandum dated February 9, 2005, the following was submitted for informational purposes only:
The Division of Basic Business requests that the footnote regarding Humanities/Fine Arts electives in the Basic Business curriculum listing of the catalog be changed as follows:
From: “Select three courses from the following, at least 1 of which must be a literature courses selected from those marked with an asterisk: ART 1030, ENGL 2130*, ENGL 2230*, ENGL 2330*, HIST 1010, 1020, 1110, 1120; MUS 1030, MUAR 2500, PHIL 1030, THEA 1030.
To: “Select two courses from the University approved Humanities/Fine Arts list.”
The requirement of ENGL 2130, 2230, or 2330 is itemized specifically in the Basic Business curriculum, thus the change in reference from “three courses” to “two courses.” This revised wording is more appropriate than listing individual courses since the Humanities/Fine Arts list continues to evolve.Approval of Changes to the 2005-06 Undergraduate Catalog from the Department of Accounting and Law
