QUALIFICATIONS:
REQUIRED: High school diploma or equivalent; a minimum of two
years of secretarial or clerical experience; proficiency in word processing,
spreadsheet, and database operations; ability to use business English and
arithmetic; knowledge of administrative procedures and filing systems; must
possess the ability to collect, organize, and maintain the confidentiality of
voluminous donor/prospect data; ability to establish and maintain effective
working relationships; ability to express ideas clearly and concisely; ability
to employ effective time and workflow management; ability to transcribe from
notes or machine dictation.
ESSENTIAL
FUNCTIONS:
Acts as personal secretary to one or more development directors and performs
complex administrative clerical functions in direct support of these directors;
may oversee and coordinate the flow and check work of student workers, temporary
employees, and other clerical employees. Receives
monetary contributions and payments and transmits them for further processing
after completing cash transmittal forms or cash reports and receipts for general
incoming monies. Processes
interdepartmental transfer forms, makes travel arrangements and other necessary
actions for University Development. Proofreads
forms and reports.
OTHER
FUNCTIONS: Performs other duties as assigned.
SALARY
AND BENEFITS:
$8.82 per hour, $17,210 annually. Benefits
include the initial accumulation of one vacation day per month and one sick
leave day per month, and thirteen (13) University holidays. Other benefits
include medical and life insurance (shared cost with the university),
retirement, optional 401k and educational benefits.
