LABORATORY AIDE (Pharmacy)Student Health Service

This is a regular, part-time (50%, 18.75 hours per week), 10-month MODFY position.  Flexible scheduling to be mutually determined.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:  High school diploma or equivalent; knowledge and use of typewriter for preparing billing requisitions; knowledge & use of basic computer; ability to use adding machine, copier and fax machine; knowledge of general business and office procedures e.g., keeping ledgers, typing requisitions.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:  Maintains records of pharmaceutical agents and all medications ordered by pharmacist. Places orders directed by pharmacist; receives and verifies shipment of pharmaceuticals, Maintains and verifies all medication logs used in dispensing medications. Assists with unit-dosage packaging under supervision of pharmacist. Requisitions medication invoices for payment, completes payroll reports of pharmacy personnel, records expenditures and maintains balance of pharmacy payroll account. Reconciles monthly expenditure reports for pharmacy account. Assists secretary with general office duties e.g. filing, opening mail, answering telephone, etc. Provides supervisor with pharmacy reports in budget preparation.

SALARY AND BENEFITS:  $6.65 per hour; $5,400 annually.  Vacation, sick leave and holidays are prorated at 50%. Other benefits include retirement, optional 401k and prorated educational benefits.
