About Me
Hello. For 32 years I was the lone, full-time philosophy professor on the Tennessee Tech faculty. In May of 2004, I took retirement. I now teach only during the fall semester on the post-retirement plan. I enjoyed those 32 years of teaching, and that's why I continue to teach on this reduced basis.
Here are some other factoids you might find of interest:
- I'm an alumnus of Vanderbilt University.
- I'm a native of Hutchinson, Kansas.
- After the Golden Eagles, the Kansas Jayhawks are my favorite basketball team.
- I have four children and seven grandchildren, the oldest of which is a U.S. Marine.
- I am the proud owner of a 1950 Mercury and a 1966 Dodge Monaco.
Things I Enjoy Doing
- Hiking and camping
- Growing flowers and vegetables
- Listening to National Public Radio
- Playing with my grandchildren
- Reading newspapers and news magazines
Dislikes
- Rock Music and Most Country Music
- MTV
- Lazy Students (Well, what did you expect?)
- UT Football Hoopla (although I do have a UT shirt)
