• Add the ScholarWeb login page (https://wserve.tntech.edu/mis/scholarshipdb/Phase2/default.asp) to your "Favorites" folder or bookmark it.  This makes future access quicker and easier.

• You will need to use your TTU domain password (see e-mailed instructions from February 2003) to log in to the system.  Remember that the domain password is not the same as your TTUMIS, Gemini, etc. password.  At the Username prompt, enter TTU\Username where "Username" is your username, i.e. JDSmith; then type your domain password at the Password prompt.

• Make sure each committee member uses the same exact criteria to set up a particular profile.  You want to make sure each committee member is looking at the same application information.  It might be wise to have a central department draft of each profile for all committee members to refer to.

• Contact all committee members to make sure they know to use ScholarWeb for reviewing applications before your selection meetings.  If you have had a change in committee membership or wish to verify your access to the system, please contact me at dcox@tntech.edu or at extension 6159.

• Once your profiles are created, you won't have to recreate them.  You can update them as you make changes to particular criteria from year to year, if necessary; otherwise, in successive years you can just enter Phase II, click on the profile you want, select the appropriate year in the profile and run it.

• Do not print more than 5 applications at any given time.  The web interface will greatly slow the printing process.  We encourage you to review the applications online and print only the top 3 to 5 that you wish to discuss in your selection meetings.

• Remember that the list of applicants returned is not just scholarship applicants, but all students applying for admission or currently enrolled, depending on which profile you are using.  The "Sch. App." column of the profile return will indicate if the student has a scholarship application. ("Y"=Yes, "N'=No).

• For important deadlines, check the online scholarship calendar (under University Calendars) and the administrative calendar.
