Application Procedures

Because the application process varies slightly depending upon your status, please choose the appropriate status from the following for more details:

New Student  
(graduating high school senior, dual-enrollment/dual-credit student, pre-freshmen)

Transfer Student

Currently Enrolled TTU Student

The December 15 postmark deadline applies to all status levels.

All scholarship materials should be sent to the Scholarship Manager.

Award Notification

If you are selected as the recipient of a TTU scholarship, you will be notified by the department granting the scholarship. Your award notification letter should contain most or all of the following information:

• Amount to be awarded
• Scholarship distribution (amount per semester)
• Scholarship criteria
• Renewal criteria (if applicable)
• Name and address of the donor, if applicable, for thank you letters

Notification of your selection is also forwarded to the Office of Financial Aid and, in some instances, the donor who is funding the scholarship. If you qualify for additional financial aid, your scholarship will be included in the financial aid package notification sent to you by the Office of Financial Aid.

Some departments will recognize the recipients of their scholarships during award ceremonies, banquets, or through local newspaper announcements. In the case of local newspaper announcements, you may be asked to sign a publicity release form in order for the University to release certain information concerning your selection as a scholarship recipient. The granting department should notify you of details related to time and location of ceremonies or banquets.

You should notify the department of your acceptance as quickly as possible in order for your scholarship to be credited to your account.
