ASSISTANT (PA) JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
Responsibilities
of each Program Assistant are to:
Help with the development of a positive community through the facilitation and initiation of floor and hall programs following the SPICES Model
- Being available and approachable
- Work with hall staff and residents in the development and facilitation of hall programming (using the SPICES Model), student support, mediation and referral, policy enforcement and implementation, work with special interest housing groups as appropriate, and administrative duties as directed by your hall director
- Be a role model – on and off campus; abide by University and Residential Life policies, maintain a 2.25 GPA
- Attend weekly staff meetings, one-on-one meetings, and all training as required
- Successful Completion of the RA training class (during first year on staff)
- Be a positive member of the residential life team, which include but not limited to attendance of residential life and hall activities, supporting each other, and support of RHA.
- Work PRC office hours as determined by the Coordinator; providing assistance to Res. Life staff and residents, maintain inventory data base, researching new products, develop and schedule program/activity calendars, design and develop advertising tools as requested, and other office needs as requested
- Maintain Ch. 18 (Eagle Vision)
- Staff residential life help desk in the event of an emergency
- Check mail box in staff office as well as email daily between 4:30 pm and 8 pm
- Other duties as assigned by your HD
