Special Programs

AUDITOR'S FEE

Students auditing classes (Audit Permit required) must pay the same fees charged for credit courses. Permanently, totally disabled persons or persons 60 years of age or older who are domiciled in Tennessee, may audit courses without paying tuition, maintenance fees, or technology access fees as long as classroom space is available. Program participants may register during regular registration. (See Proof of permanent total disability or age will be required at the time of payment/fee confirmation.

DISABLED AND ELDERLY PERSONS SERVICE FEE

Permanently, totally disabled persons and persons 65 years of age or older who are domiciled in Tennessee may enroll in courses for credit without paying tuition charges, maintenance fees, or technology access fees. However, a service fee of $42.00 per undergraduate hour and $62.00 per graduate hour, to a maximum of $75.00 per semester is charged. Proof of total permanent disability or age will be required at the time of payment fee/confirmation. Enrollment under this program is on a classroom space-available basis only. Program participants may register during the regular registration period.

FEE WAIVER FOR STATE EMPLOYEES & PC191 PARTICIPANTS

Full-time employees of the State of Tennessee, as well as TBR and UT system employees, are eligible for enrollment in one credit course per term without paying tuition, maintenance, or technology access fees. Course enrollments will be permitted on a classroom space-available basis. A completed Application for Fee Waiver form will be required at the time of registration.

State employees must receive credit for the course in which they are enrolled. In addition, changes may not be made from credit to audit during the course of the term. Program participants may register during the late registration period only. No late registration fee will be assessed.

TBR and UT system employees may audit a course if the course is a credit course. PC191 program participants may register during the regular registration period.
