Creating Web Pages for TTU Departments, Offices
and Organizations
Tennessee Tech departments, offices and campus organizations are
encouraged to publish information on the World-Wide Web. This document
details the steps required for faculty, staff and students to become
information providers for TTU departments or organizations.
Before You Begin, You Must:
- Fill out the online Web
Directory Setup Form and request the creation
of a special account and directory for your Web documents.
When the account and directory have been created, ITS will
notify you. You'll be provided with the username and password
for your account, and the directory name and URL for your documents.
- Web and Digital Media Director
E-mail: Webmaster@tntech.edu
1. The director will review with you the development of a site map
for organizational and navigational purposes and will make site map
approvals. Macromedia Dreamweaver is the preferred software package
use with the approved TTU templates. Dreamweaver training with the
template will be coordinated by the Institute and
the Web Director. Classes are offered monthly.
2. Once your site map is approved, your training has taken place
and it has been determined that your site follows the TTU's World
Wide Web Policy, Web
Site Requirements and Web
Style Guidelines, the site will then be reviewed for
final changes before it is linked to TTU's web server.
