Cookeville, Tenn. (Sept. 14, 2009) – First National Bank won first place in this year’s Awesome Business Decorating Contest that was held during Tennessee Tech Pride Days in late August. The bank won with a purple and gold display inside the lobby. Accepting the TTU gift basket prize for First National Bank are (back row) Thomas Lynn, Ryan Smith, Erik Guimaraes, Kim Taylor and Penny Loftis. Bobbie Maynard and Denise Colwell of TTU’s Public Affairs Office present the gift basket to Dawn Chaffin and Delma Romero.

Candy Caboose came in as runner-up in Tennessee Tech University’s Awesome Business Decorating Contest. The store was recognized for its purple and gold window display. Bobbie Maynard and Denise Colwell of TTU’s Public Affairs Office presented tickets to two different TTU football games to owner Sherrie Cannon and employee Sydney East of the Candy Caboose.
