COOKEVILLE, Tenn. (Sept. 8, 2009) — Tennessee Tech University’s Department of Music and Art will present Anne Thurmond in a faculty clarinet recital at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday, Sept. 15. Thurmond begins her ninth year on the faculty at Tennessee Tech, where she performs with the Bryan Symphony Orchestra and the Cumberland Quintet.

She has chosen a collection of French chamber music which also features pianist Paul Thurmond,including works by Pierne, Debussy and Poulenc. In addition, William Woodworth, oboe, and James Lotz, bassoon, will join her in a performance of a reed trio by Georges Auric.

This free recital will be held in Wattenbarger Auditorium in the Fine Arts Building on the Tennessee Tech campus.
