Small Business Advertising Seminar offered at TTU Aug. 25, 27

COOKEVILLE, Tenn. (Aug. 10, 2009) — Small business owners can learn ways to make the most of their advertising dollars at a seminar offered this month by the Small Business Development Center at Tennessee Tech University.

Affordable Advertising will be presented from 3:30 to 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday and Thursday, Aug. 25 and 27, in Room 218 of TTU’s Johnson Hall, and the cost to attend the two-day seminar is $40.

Tracey Hackett, an adjunct instructor of journalism who teaches an advertising design and layout course at the university, will present the seminar. Light refreshments will be provided.

“The first day of the presentation will define advertising and explore ways participants can target their primary audiences with their advertising messages. The second day will highlight ways participants can set measurable goals to evaluate the effectiveness of their advertising messages,” Hackett said.

“Building on ideas presented on the first day, participants will work interactively to set their own, individual advertising goals and create simple plans to achieve those goals by learning easy ways to test their effectiveness,” she continued.

For more information or to register for the seminar, visit the web site at www.tsbdc.org <http://www.tsbdc.org/> or call TSBDC’s office at TTU at 931/372-3648.
