COOKEVILLE, Tenn. (Aug. 4, 2009) — Tennessee Tech University’s Office of Career Services is offering a workshop for employers in the Upper Cumberland area titled “TALENT: The Power of ‘Growing’ Your Own Employees.”

The workshop will provide employers with the tools needed to implement a leading-edge cooperative education/internship program.

“TTU realizes that employers need to find talent that speaks to who they are and exemplifies their corporate culture,” said TTU Career Services Director Alice Camuti. “In today’s challenging economic environment, employers need creative ways to get the job done. Employing students through an experiential education program allows employers to be prepared to hire that top talent.”

The workshop will be held 10:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. Aug. 27 in the Roaden University Center.

Registration is $75, which includes lunch and handouts. Seating is limited, so employers are encouraged to register soon at www.tntech.edu/career/employer_workshops.html.
