COOKEVILLE, Tenn. (March 16, 2006) – Los Angeles woodwind jazz
musician Gary Foster is scheduled to perform at Wattenbarger Auditorium
on Friday, March 24, at 7:30 p.m. Foster will also hold a master class
at 11 a.m. on March 23.
Foster is considered one of the top woodwind musicians in Los Angeles
for studio and film recordings. He has worked with names like Frank Sinatra
and Barbra Streisand.
Foster’s music has been presented in many well-known films and
television shows including “The Carol Burnett Show,” “Jaws,”
“The Untouchables,” and the Academy Award-winning film “Chicago.”
Foster has achieved international recognition through such achievements
in his 30-year career.
Yet, for all his success in Hollywood, Foster prefers the humble backgrounds
of music to delight his audiences. “My dream gig? Playing sax with
a piano, bass and drum trio in a jazz concert. Not enough to pay the bills,
but a lot of fun,” says Foster.
The concert is a Center Stage event and will be free and open to the
public.
