TTU'S DECEMBER AMBASSADOR OF THE MONTH — Tennessee
Tech University maintenance mechanic supervisor James Mathis' "can-do"
attitude is the perfect example of a Tech ambassador, said Debbie Walker
of TTU's Dean of Students Office. "I have known Jim since I worked
in Housing," she said. "He has always responded to maintenance
requests with a positive attitude and will work on a problem until it
is fixed. Even though I am no longer in Housing, I call on Jim occasionally
when students report a problem in their rooms. Jim continues to respond
willingly and gets the right people to work on my requests. His 'can-do'
attitude and immediate response to take care of business make him a wonderful
representative of the university." Ambassador nomination forms are
available from TTU's Human Resource Services or by visiting www.tntech.edu/hr.
