COOKEVILLE, Tenn. (March 2, 2004) -- The annual Tennessee Tech University
Pharmaceutical Sales Training and Certification program will be held on
Tuesday, March 30, at 6:30 p.m. in TTUs Roaden University Center
Multipurpose Room. Hosted by the American Pharmaceutical Sales Association,
the program is open to the community, but space is limited and pre-registration
is required.
The cost of the three-hour program is $140, and upon completion, participants
will have an opportunity to earn an APSA certification that can be used
as a springboard to securing pharmaceutical sales employment.
APSA offers the only certified training program that is geared to help
job seekers enter into pharmaceutical sales in a live classroom setting.
The curriculum consists of a pre-hire and post-hire overview, role playing
and tactical issues, pharmaceutical time management, labeling laws, FDA
functional laws, physician sampling and detailing, medical terminology,
and a detailed question and answer forum.
All college students, alumni, and local community members who earn their
certification will be admitted into the APSAs PharmaLink© program
until a job is earned.
