Photos For News Releases

Required resolution: minimum 220 DPI
Photos For Web Publication
Acceptable Electronic Format: JPG, GIF, PNG, PSD
Required resolution: minimum 200 DPI
Notes:
People who appear in submitted photographs must give their permission
for the university to use their photo or likeness in publications,
on the web or for release to the media. It is your responsibility
as a photographer to obtain that permission from each person in
your photographs. The photo/video
image release form (PDF) is available here to download.
Please fill out and bring with your photo to the office of Public
Affairs.
Prints may be submitted for publications, news releases and the
web. Submitted photos will be scanned and returned after publication.
Public Affairs reserves the right not to use any print that does
not meet acceptable standards for composition and quality.
No copyrighted photos may be used by our office without written
permission from the studio owner or individual photographer who
owns the right to the photo. Do not submit copyrighted material,
identified by a word mark, logo or name on the photo face or back,
to be used for publication or release without having obtained written
permission to use the photo.
Please keep in mind all the ways your photo may be used in conjunction
with news and publicity. Often a news release is reprinted or edited
to appear in another university publication, so the accompanying
photo needed needs to be of the highest resolution possible. |
