Is it really that important?

Most times you don't exactly know what your role is, as the parent or guardian, when your son or daughter begins college. This is reason why we enjoy hosting parents during our Student Orientation, Advising & Registration (SOAR) sessions. We love the opportunity, not only to educate new students, but educate you all as well. We feel that helping you understand your role is an important piece of the puzzle to maximize positive results with regards to your son or daughter's journey to college.

We hope that you, the parent, will spend some time examining the different pages of content within this web site. We feel that there is sufficient information here to help any parent or guardian start in the right direction. Just remember that you know your son or daughter better than any of us ever could, so some of the suggestions may need to be altered a bit to fit their personality. Loosen up and have fun with your collegiate experience, because we know they will!
