New line of recruiting publications being developed

As part of the on-going effort to reach 10,000 students by 2005, a new line of recruiting publications is being developed for use in attracting additional inquiries, applicants and, hopefully, enrollees.

“The new line will include traditional pieces such as a searchpiece and a viewbook,” says Rebecca Tolbert, associate vice president for Academic Affairs and Enrollment Management. “Plus, a series of one-page information sheets (FAQs) aimed at answering prospective students’ most frequently asked questions about everything from computer accessibility on campus to attractions and events in the Cookeville community are also planned.”

Also among the new publications are pieces aimed at helping students choose a major, profiles of every available major on campus and two types of campus visit publication: one that encourages prospective students to visit, and another that’ll serve as a guide once they arrive.

Several of the FAQ topic flyers are nearing completion. Work will continue on publications through the summer and fall with Admissions, Public Affairs, Marketing, Printing and Photo Services personnel among the many departments involved in their creation.

The university’s current series of recruiting publications was initially developed by Creative Communications of America in 1996.
