More on TTU's unique market position

In the last edition of Growthchart, a triangle graphic was used to illustrate the university’s unique market position and the three key features upon which it’s based.

It was noted that individually each of these elements —— academic reputation, affordable value, comfortable campus —— represents only one of the university’s many strengths. But taken together, these strengths make Tennessee Tech stand out among the competition.

However, it’s worth mentioning that these three attributes are not the university’s only strengths. In fact, you might say each one is a composite of the university’s many strong points.

For example, every academic area contributes to the university’s strong academic reputation, as does alumni success and satisfaction.

And when it comes to affordability and value, the cost of tuition is just one of the many factors to consider. The low cost of living in the Cookeville area and the value of the education students receive at Tennessee Tech are other considerations.

The friendliness of the students, the personal attention from the faculty and the staff’s willingness to help all play a part in TTU’s comfortable campus.

So, pick a strength and see where it fits in with those that comprise TTU’s market position.

And remember, when you’re speaking with someone considering attending Tennessee Tech, the strengths of the university are all relative to the needs of the individual.
