Programmable
Logic Controllers Laboratory
PLC is the industrial automation standard in today’s
industry. PLCs are good choices for many types of control
problems, from simple discrete essential to complicated automatic
control. Recently, the PLC lab was established to support
the MIT 4200 - Industrial Electronics; MIT 4070 - Industrial Automation,
a newly developed course; MIT 4210 – Programmable Logic Controllers
and Process Control, MIT 4620 - Industrial Projects; MIT 4990 –
Special Projects and several workshops for industry. The laboratory
is equipped with eight PLC Allen-Bradely SLC 503 and ControlLogix
simulation software as well as some automatic control applications
developed by students.
