| Undergraduate Programs of Study
Undergraduate Areas of Concentration
The Mechanical Engineering curriculum includes two 'Areas of Concentration'
(AOC) as part of the Undergraduate Program. These areas are (1) Energy Systems, and (2) Mechanical Systems.
Within each AOC, four 3-hour technical courses constitute an option.
Each student must complete 12 semester hours in an option. The table
below lists the different emphases within each AOC. Students should
declare an Undergraduate AOC as early as possible to permit planning for a specific
graduation date.
