TTU

Tennessee Tech University was established
more than 85 years ago and is one of nine public four-year institutions
in the state. The university currently has more than 9,000 students
on campus and an alumni base of more than 50,000 individuals. The
College of Business Administration at Tech is one of the largest
academic units on campus with more than 1,500 students currently
pursuing degrees.
Strong, productive relationships between students and faculty are an important
part of your TTU educational experience. Our professors are accessible to students.
They have regular, weekly office hours and are available online as well. The
faculty and staff at Tech provide a personal touch whether you are a campus-based
or a distance-based student.
Tennessee Tech is in Cookeville, a town of about 25,000 residents. Although
it's located in some of Tennessee's most beautiful countryside, the campus
is only a little more than an hour from three of the state's metro areas --
82 miles east of Nashville, 109 miles west of Knoxville and 96 miles north
of Chattanooga. The cost of living is lower in Cookeville than in most parts
of the country and housing costs are quite reasonable.
U.S. News & World Report ranked TTU among the Top Public Universities in
the South for the second year in a row in its 2003 report. This ranking was
Tech’s fourth top-ranking appearance in the news weekly in recent years.
Tennessee Tech is a comprehensive university with a strong focus on technological
advances and commitment to the student.
"The education provided by Tech helped establish a strong foundation for
my growth both as an individual and as a professional."

"The quality of the business faculty at Tech was outstanding. The courses
really helped me gain an understanding of how companies succeed in a very competitive
environment."
-- George H. Johnson, Chief Financial Officer, Averitt Express
"With the case approach used in the MBA program, we were able to focus on
real issues. The professors are amazingly accessible, even for those working
full time while completing their degree."
--Tina Mallie, CPA Corporate Human Resources Manager, PriceWaterhouseCoopers

The MBA Program at Tennessee Tech University is fully accredited by AACSB International,
The Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business. While other accrediting
agencies exist, AACSB is the highest credential available to MBA Programs.
Originated in 1915, AACSB's founding members included Columbia University,
Harvard University, Northwestern University, The Ohio State University, and
13 other institutions. Among the approximate 1,500 MBA programs in the U.S.
today, only about 20% of these programs are AACSB accredited ... Tennessee
Tech is one of these programs.
