  • Encyclopedia of Criminology and Deviant Behavior

    Four volumes with over 550 entries covering a multitude of topics related to criminology, deviant behavior, and other unusual sociological phenomena; each contain a comprehensive definition of the term, concise practical information (such as tables and/or diagrams) and a bibliography.

    Five-volume set; historical and contemporary cases that "shocked the nation" and became a part of the popular and legal culture of the U.S. are discussed; each chapter focuses on a different crime or trial, and explores the ways in which each became famous.

    Provides an overview of U. S. law, crime and justice; focuses on crime and the justice system including local, state, or national concerns; topics range from corrections to white collar crime.
  • International Criminal Justice Review.  1993 – (Bound)
    Published three times per year; presents trends and problems on crime and justice throughout the world; topics range from international/comparative crime to family and domestic violence.

  • InfoTrac OneFile.
    One-stop mega-resource for journal and news articles - full text, abstracts, citations and images - from all general interest areas and academic disciplines.
  • Criminal Justice Periodicals.
    Based on the print index of the same name, CJP focuses on practical issues in crime prevention and deterrence, juvenile delinquency, police issues, and courtroom procedures. Provides some full text and some abstract only.
  • MARCIVEWeb DOCS –  Catalog of Government Publications.
    Includes Governemnt Printing Office (GPO) records from 1976 to the present as well as shipping list records for access to titles not yet cataloged.
  • Sociological Abstracts.
    Online version of the print Abstracts.
  • Social Sciences Full Text.
    Full text coverage begins in January 1995; subjects range from addiction studies to urban studies.

    Published monthly by the FBI; features a variety of topics in both operations and administration; columns such as Police Practice and Case Study highlight programs and procedures that work for other agencies; Legal Digest articles present the latest legal issues in a straightforward manner; Law Enforcement articles are written by experienced professionals.
