The Library Support Endowment
The Library Support Endowment is used to meet critical, often emergency, needs that cannot be funded from University money.
The first purchase was for a computer for a visually-impaired student who desperately needed it to enable her to read class assignments. No other funds were available toward the end of the fiscal year when we became aware of this need.
Another funded project was equiping a newly constructed classroom for library instruction.
Other purchases have been made from this fund, but these are made frugally to allow the Endowment to grow so that needed substantial purchases may be made when necessary.
