Instructions for FileMaker Pro Student Employees and Work
Study forms
The revised versions of the student employees and work study
employees Payroll Report forms have these features. Remember to
download the files you need to an appropriate folder on your computer.
Do NOT use them on the web page.
- For FileMaker Pro 7 and above, there is only one file
(Student Payroll.fp7 for regular student employees or Work Study
Payroll.fp7 for work study employees), not a Requisition file
and a Data file. The
student data is entered in the same file as the Payroll Report.
- For FileMaker 5 through 6, there are two files
to download:
Student Payroll.fp5 and Student Worker Data.fp5)
- Click on the link Student Data.

- You can enter students manually by entering new records:

- Or you can import from your current Student Data file.
- From the menu, select
File > Import Records > File

- Browse to locate your existing file named
Student Workers Data.fp7 for regular workers or Work
Study Data.fp7 for the work study file.
- Click Open.

- In the FileMaker Import window, select Arrange by:
matching names
- Click Import.
- After you have imported your student data, click on the
button Return to Form to return to the Payroll Report.

- Create a new record and enter your Initial Balance.
You only have to do this once and this will NOT print when you
print the form out for Payroll and Personnel.
- As you add records, the Remaining field will show how
much is left.
