New Student Information

AIRPORT PICKUPS

Do you need to be picked up at the Nashville International Airport (Code BNA)? ISA will contact Southern Skies Airport Xpress to pick you up at the Nashville International Airport or you may contact them yourself at 800-726-1284 or contact Brenda Gentry, International Student Affairs office secretary at bgentry@tntech.edu to arrange the airport pickup. If you do not schedule the airport pick up ahead of time, you will have to take a taxi or arrange your own transportation to TTU's campus. The cost of the airport pickup with be assessed to your account after the pickup. Be sure to send your itinerary at least two weeks prior to your arrival date.

Airport transportation from Nashville International Airport $80.00 for each student

Transportation from McGhee Tyson Knoxville Airport for $100.00 for each student.

Any future changes in the given rate will subsequently be calculated and those cost will be carried forward to the student.

Directions to meet Southern Skies Airport Xpress Shuttle

After picking up luggage on Baggage claim level proceed DOWN ONE LEVEL to Ground Transportation.  This is the lowest level of the airport.

From Ground Level go outside the airport and cross the street on the crosswalk until you come under cover of Parking Garage.

As soon as you come under cover look to the RIGHT and you will see the driver parked by the curb.

Look for a VAN with signs saying Southern Skies Airport Xpress .

Their toll- free number is 800-726-1284 if the passenger has any questions.  If for any reason you should miss one of your flights or your flight is delayed for any reason this is the number to contact.  They will always have a way of contacting the International Student Affairs staff.

There will be an $80.00 charge accessed to your student account by the University for your Pickup from Nashville.  This charge will need to be paid before your enrollment can be confirmed for the semester.  (DO NOT PAY THE DRIVER)

INTERNATIONAL ORIENTATION

All new students are required to join the International Orientation, January 12-14, 2009. We will meet in front of the Roaden University Center (RUC) on Monday the 12th at 11:00am.
