Getting Started in iLearn
What
is iLearn?
iLearn is the TTU-branded course management system powered by Desire2Learn. If
you hear the terms iLearn,eLearn, D2L or Desire2Learn, they all mean the same thing.
Where
do I go to login to iLearn?
- Go
to the TTU homepage (http://www.tntech.edu)
and select the Current Students drop-down tab at the top, select iLearn.
- You
can type the URL in the address bar: http://ilearn.tntech.edu
How
can I access my courses on iLearn?
Student accounts are added to the system prior to the beginning of the semester. All
courses are not taught using iLearn so you need to check with your instructor to confirm that you will be using it for your courses. If the course section is M10, 500 or R50 (R50 courses must be accessed by going to the Regents Online Degree Program (RODP) server) it is designated as a completely online course and should be accessible through iLearn (or the RODP server).
To login, use your PC Lab account (this is the same
username and password as your email account minus the @tntech.edu). If you
have not setup your email account, please look at the information about Student Accounts provided by ITS to see how to get this setup.
What
if I don’t see my courses in iLearn on the first day of classes?
- First,
look for the current semester under the My Tennessee Technological
University Courses area and click the
to expand the semester to
see your courses.
- Contact
your instructor to make sure he or she is using iLearn for courses.
- If
you are taking a course with a section number beginning with an R,
you will need to login to the RODP site (http://elearn.rodp.org) to access your
courses.
- If
you should have access and do not, please email ilearn@tntech.edu and include the
following information: your name, username, T number, course dept, number and
section (Ex: ENGL 1010-001).
