QUALIFICATIONS: A high school diploma or equivalent required. One year general office experience required. Experience in health care setting preferred. Ability to type accurately and operate office equipment/computers. Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with students and co-workers. Ability to maintain confidentiality of information/files.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Act as receptionist, assist students with completing health forms, answer telephone, take messages, and route callers. Type correspondence, reports, requisitions, and other business materials. Balance monies collected, make receipts, and deposit each day's receipts. Keep appointment book for Doctor and Women’s Health. Assist technical clerk with registration process each semester and throughout the year. Operate office machines such as calculator, computer terminal, fax, electronic typewriter, credit card machine, copier, and printers. Assist with other basic office procedures such as filing, mail sorting, etc. Other duties as assigned.
SALARY AND BENEFITS:
$8.95 per hour, $17,460 annually. Benefits include the initial
accumulation of one vacation day per month, one sick leave day per month,
and thirteen (13) University holidays. Other benefits include medical and
life insurance (shared cost with the University), retirement, optional
401k, and educational benefits.
