What is an Employee Assistance
Program?
An employee assistance program, or EAP, is a counseling service for employees
and their eligible dependents who may be experiencing personal or work place
problems. You can reach the EAP by calling 1-800-308-4934 any time of day,
any day of the year.
Everyone has problems from time to time. Usually,
we work them out. But sometimes problems persist, becoming
serious enough to affect us both off and on the job. At such
times, an EAP counselor may be able to help. For specific details
regarding EAP, refer to the State website at http://www.state.tn.us/finance/ins/eap/.
The provider for the Employee Assistance Program
is Magellan Health Services as of January 1, 2005 . Full-time
employees (or anyone eligible for health insurance) and eligible
dependents may access services by calling the toll-free number – 1-800-308-4934.
At no cost to you, the EAP can help you resolve
personal concerns, so you can be at your best at work and home.
Services are confidential and available 24 hours a day, seven
days a week. The EAP can help with personal concerns such as
relationship issues, work stress, coping with change, dealing
with family issues, legal and financial concerns.
You can access EAP, www.magellanhealth.com to
