Kappa Epsilon
“Not for wealth, rank, or honor, but for personal
worth and character.” Guided by this simple principle, 5 men
founded Tau Kappa Epsilon Fraternity on January 10, 1899 at Illinois
Wesleyan University with the avowed purpose “to aid college
men in their mental, moral, and social development," Our mission
is no different than it was in 1899 and the challenge is no less
intimidating, but it is one we have not strayed from. Building better
men is what TKE has always been about.
It is that mission and our devotion to life long friendships through
Brotherhood, that has allowed TKE to become the largest fraternity
in North America.
You too can be apart of that heritage and our
future. By participating in various social events such as Red Carnation
Ball, intramural sports, philanthropies like Special Olympics, campus
events, leadership opportunities and chapter events you’ll
develop friendships that you will cherish and carry with you for
a lifetime.
Leaving home and going away for college can be an intimidating experience,
but going Greek is a great way to help alleviate concerns. Many
of us have already faced the problems that one has to deal with
during the first semester of college, and we can offer guidance
in academics, university involvement, and any other problems you
may be facing.
