Kappa Sigma

Kappa Sigma was founded nationally in 1869 at the University of Virginia in Charlottesville, but can trace its roots back to as early as the 1400s. It consists of over 120,000 undergraduate brothers at more than 225 chapters and colonies throughout the United States and Canada. Kappa Sigma was founded locally in 1969 as the first national social fraternity to be chartered at Tennessee Tech. The fraternity was created with the traditions of the past and dedication to the Pursuit of Learning. The Kappa Sigma Constitution and Oath set forth these very ideals. The diverse brotherhood of the Kappa Sigma chapter at Tennessee Tech is continually active in scholarship, intramural sports, community service, and social activities.
