Gamma Delta
Phi Gamma Delta was founded nationally in 1848 and
locally in 1981. Their fraternity is centered around five values
- friendship, knowledge, service, morality, and excellence. The
members of Phi Gamma Delta include a wide variety of backgrounds,
personalities, and lifestyles, but are all bonded by brotherhood.
They also promote community service through projects such as the
Special Olympics, Adopt-A-Highway, collecting can goods for the
Cookeville Rescue Mission, working with the local orphans and elderly,
and supporting the Multiple Sclerosis Society. Phi Gamma Delta is
also about having fun. Some of the events during the year are Fiji
Island Week, Homecoming (particularly the Fiji Kazoo Band), Purple
Garter Formal, Intramural Athletics, Pig Dinner, Greek Week, All
Sing, and other organizations' philanthropic events.
