Curriculum
The Governor‘s School for IT Leadership‘s curriculum is designed to teach you how to develop a business plan. Once classes start you will be assigned to a team and each team will work together along with a leader/mentor to devise a business idea that will evolve into a real business plan! Once your business plan is complete you will have the opportunity to share it with your peers. In addition to regular classes guest speakers will provide a "real-world" perspective on IT and business leadership. You will also have the opportunity to participate in community service during your stay.
Core Classes
Your core classes include a variety of topics that will help you and your team members develop your business plan as you advance through the program. Each morning you will attend two classes that will teach you the techniques for developing your business plan. Some of the topics that will be discussed are listed below.

Electives
When you sign up for Tennessee Tech‘s Governor‘s school in IT leadership you have the opportunity to choose electives that are interesting to you! The electives offered are designed to allow you to fully explore your interest in IT and business leadership and are offered in the evening in addition to your core classes.
