South Hall 715 Quadrangle Constructed in 1931, South Hall served originally as the Home Economics building. In 1954, with major additions, it housed the student union, and more recently, it served as the library annex until a new library building was built in 1989. It currently houses the College of Agriculture and Human Ecology, the School of Agriculture, the School of Home Ecology, the Department of Foreign Languages, and the General Curriculum program. | Accessibility Information: Number of Floors: 3 Parking: Accessible parking for the building is along West 8th Street between Jere Whitson and South Hall. One regular vehicle parking spot is located on West 8th Street just off the Quadrangle. Two more spaces are at the end on 8th Street at rear of building. One space is van accessible. Entrances: South Hall has two accessible entrances. One is located on the East rear of the building. The other one is located on the Southwest front of the building. The front entrance door has an automatic door opener. Elevators: South Hall has one elevator located on the South part of the building. It is accessible to all three floors. Stairs: South Hall has two stairways: one on the North part of the building and one on the South part of the building. Restrooms: There are 4 accessible restrooms in the building. Two are located on the South end of the basement floor, and two are located on the main level at the Northwest entrance. Rescue Assistance: There is an Emergency phone located in the elevator cab.
