Types of Scholarships

There are two main types of scholarships that you could receive. The major difference is between the types of scholarships the source of the scholarship money. Tennessee Tech awards many scholarships. These are called university scholarships. To apply for these, or for more information visit TTU’s scholarship web site.

The second type of scholarship that you could receive is called an outside scholarship or an agency scholarship. These are any scholarships not awarded to you by the university. Examples include community scholarships such as those from your local high school or Rotary club. These can also be scholarships or reimbursements from your parent’s employer or from your service with Americorps.
