| Class Withdrawals/Drop
Important: Read
the following before you drop a course.
If dropping a course changes the status of
your enrollment, you must get approval from the Registrar in the Records Office first. Dropping a course without an approval
from the Registrar in the Records Office may terminate your
lottery eligibility and you will be required to repay the funds.
The TELS amount will be prorated to the enrollment status.
Do not stop going to class without following proper
withdrawal procedure. Any change is student status without prior approval renders you ineligible for the lottery scholarship for all remaining semesters.
If you receive an 'I' for a course,
you are required to complete the course over within one year. When
you take this course over, if it lowers your GPA below the benchmark
level, you will be ineligible for further Tennessee Education Lottery
Scholarship funds AND you will be required to repay any funds received
since the 'I' was recorded. If you do not take
this course over, you will automatically receive an 'F'
that could lower your GPA below the benchmark level. This will make
you ineligible for further TELS funds AND will require you to repay
any funds received since the 'I' was recorded.
** Remember hours dropped WILL count toward
your attempted hours for lottery scholarship purposes of reaching
your GPA benchmark.
