| HOPE Access Grant Scholarship
Requirements
A grant to freshman students for $2,000 who
are enrolled in a program leading to an associate or baccalaureate
degree and do not meet the requirements for the base scholarship
and have an *adjusted gross income which does
not exceed $36,000.
- Student must have graduated from an eligible high school after
Jan 1, 2004
- Have an *adjusted gross income
less than or equal to $36,000
- Achieve a final unweighted GPA of at least 2.75
AND
- Attain a composite ACT score of at least 18 on any single test
date or a combined SAT score of at least 860 on any single SAT
test date
- Not eligible for a Tennessee HOPE scholarship
The Tennessee HOPE Access Grant will be awarded only until the
end of the semester in which the student has attempted a total of
24 credit hours. If at the end of the semester the student reaches
the 24 credit hours benchmark and has a cumulative GPA of 2.75,
the student is then eligible for the Tennessee HOPE Scholarship.
Then the student can also receive the need- based supplemental award
if the * adjusted gross income is
less than or equal to $36,000
* Adjusted gross income – income
attributable to the student, including parents’ income if
student is dependent. The adjusted gross income will be reviewed
each academic year to be determine eligibility.
