International
Business Society (IBS)
Advisor: Dr.
Nat Natarajan
This new student organization in the College of
Business is open to all TTU students interested in international
business, study tours abroad, and study abroad programs. The members
of this organization will assist with the annual Window on
the World festival.
Other activities include field trips to companies that do business
globally, special projects involving other countries, and arranging
presentations on international business topics.
Marketing
Club
Advisor: Dr.
Ismet Anitsal
The Marketing Club is a service organization open
to all marketing majors and business students. The club focuses
on career development and job placement in the marketing field.
Recruiting occurs in the fall; however, students may join the club
at any time. Activities include monthly meetings, guest lectures,
fund-raisers, participation in National Mark eting Week, and various
social events. The Mark eting Club has won numerous international
honors for business scholarship as well as club activities from
the professional division of the American Mark eting Association.
Omicron Delta Epsilon
Advisor: Dr.
Bruce Throckmorton
Economics, finance, and agricultural economics majors may become
members of this organization by invitation. Juniors and seniors
with a 3.0 QPA in at least twelve semester hours of economics courses
are considered for membership.
Society for the Advancement of Finance
and Economics (SAFE)
Advisor: Dr.
Ken Wiant
This organization is open to all students interested in a finance
or economics major. Letters concerning the organization are mailed
to students who have declared such majors, but interested freshmen
and sophomores are also welcome to join. Activities include guest
lectures, a fund-raiser, and social events. The society also helps
coordinate the internship program. Tutoring is made available through
members of this organization.
