CAREER OPPORTUNITIES
The general management option provides students with the flexibility
to seek employment in numerous managerial positions.
Following the completion
of corporate training, new supervisors assume responsibilities for
planning, team building, leadership, and training of new employees.
Although duties
vary with the nature of the job, all management jobs require good
interpersonal skills.

The national average yearly salary for students graduating in the
curriculum of Business Administration/Management is $39,553.

WHAT IS GENERAL MANAGEMENT?
The General Management option within the degree of Bachelor of Science
in Business Management is administered through the Department of
Decision Sciences and Management. It is designed for students who
desire broad managerial expertise and curriculum exposure to a variety
of business areas. This program is characterized by an emphasis
on advanced organizational, management, and computer skills.

Any freshman,
sophomore, junior, and senior student interested in business management
may become a member. The club focuses on the professional development
of its members through activities such as guest lectures, fundraisers,
and social events. Campus recruitment occurs primarily in the
fall, but students may join at anytime. Annual membership fees
include $35 national dues and local dues.
