honorable mention for Best Paper award), and the Journal of Information
Systems Education.
Bonita Barger and Nat Natarajan published in Academy
of Educational Leadership Journal.
Bonita Barger published in the Journal of Organizational
Culture, Communications and Conflict.
Tor Guimaraes published in the Quality Management
Journal.
Brian Huguenard and Jack Matson published in Journal
of Statistics Education.
Brian Jones published in the Global Information Technology

Tor Guimaraes published a chapter in two books: “Comparing
Expert Systems and Agent Technologies for KM” and “Enabling the
Virtual Organization with Agent Technologies”

Tom Timmerman received a SACS-QEP grant.
Community service activities
Bonita Barger participated in a Case Study Competition
at Oxford University in England.
Mike Cowan played a pivotal role in securing the
AACSB reaccreditation of the College of Business
Tor Guimaraes was the keynote speaker at the IEEE
International Symposium on Information Systems and Management held
in Shanghai, China . Also with Gordon Davis, he chaired a session
for MIS faculty and Ph.D. students titled “How to be a Competent
MIS Professional”, Shanghai Jiao Tong University, Shanghai, China
Christine Miller was the chair of the Academic Council
and is the incoming president of the Faculty Senate.
Ramachandran Natarajan taught a one-week course in
Supply Chain Management to an MBA program in Bangalore, India and
a one-week course on Quality Management in a Executive MBA program
in Dubai, United Arab Emirates.
Stuart Wells continued his role in the Computer Forensics
Initiative.
Tom Timmerman writes a regular column in the Business
section of the Herald Citizen. |
